Graduation 2011 Information

Dear Seniors and Senior
Parents/Guardians
Wolf Creek staff and
board members are busy preparing for the
2011 graduation commencement ceremony.
Please refer to this letter for many details
regarding graduation.
1.
Graduation Details
The 2011 graduation ceremony will be
held on Friday, June 10th,
2011 at 6:30 p.m. at Lakeside School
located at 10345 Wyoming Ave., Chisago City,
MN. Each graduate participating in the
ceremony is required to attend graduation
practice on Friday, June 10th
at 11:00 am at Lakeside School. After
practice graduates will be given their cap,
gown, and tassel; as well as be treated to
lunch. (Students must have earned 21.0
credits by the end of term 3 to be listed in
the program and 25.0 credits by noon on June
2 to participate in the ceremony.)
2. Graduation
Forms
Each senior has been given a
GRADUATION FORM. These forms must be
turned in immediately. If you have not
turned in your
Graduation Form,
one is enclosed for your use. Deadline
extended to May 5th!
3.
Senior Pictures
Seniors: please submit both a senior
picture and a baby picture to be used for
the senior slideshow. You can submit these
electronically (bolseen@chisagolakes.k12.mn,us)
or you may give them to Becki on campus.
Physical copies of pictures will be returned
to you. Even if you are not walking in
graduation, we ask that you send in your
picture to represent your accomplishment!
All seniors will receive a copy of the
slideshow as well. Deadline May 5th!
4.
Wolf Creek Scholarship
Enclosed is an application for the
2011 Wolf Creek High School scholarship.
This is open to all graduates who plan to
pursue a post-secondary education, and have
earned a 2.0 or higher grade point average!
Scholarships will be awarded during the
graduation ceremony. If you need another
form, please see Brenda Swanson. The
deadline for applications to be turned in is
June 2nd, 2011.

Senior Survey
Each graduate is required to complete a
survey. This survey is to be taken online at
www.surveymonkey.com/s/seniorsurvey2011wolfcreek
Please take note of the introductory
remarks. This survey is a requirement for
graduation. Please complete the survey
ASAP.
6.
Graduation Pictures
All graduates will be required to be a
part of a Wolf Creek class of 2011 group
picture at 6:00 p.m. Enclosed with this
letter is information about professional
individual pictures to be taken by Bachman
Photography, of graduates in their caps and
gowns. If you want to have your picture
taken, you must be at Lakeside School on
June 10 at 5:30. All
photo packages must be pre-paid at that
time.
7.
Newspaper Ad
Parents/Guardians! We are excited to
offer an opportunity for you to publicly
congratulate your graduate! For just $25.00
you can purchase an ad in the Chisago County
Press. The details are outlined on the
2011 Graduation Ad form. Your ad will
be published along with the page celebrating
Wolf Creek’s graduating class. If you would
like to take advantage of this offer, please
fill in the enclosed form and return it to

8. Speakers and
Singers Needed
Any student interested in signing a song at
graduation or giving a senior speech please
let your learning Manager and Brenda know of
your interest ASAP.
9.Library Materials
Do you have library materials that have
been checked out from the Wolf Creek
library? These must be returned or payment
for them received before your diploma is
granted.

Dear Seniors and
Parents/Guardians:
Wolf Creek
staff and board members are busy preparing
for the 2011 graduation commencement
ceremony. Please refer to this letter
for details regarding graduation.
The 2011 graduation ceremony will be held on
Friday, June 10th, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at
Lakeside School located at 10345 Wyoming
Ave., Chisago City, MN.
Each graduate participating in the
ceremony is required to attend graduation
practice on Friday, June 10th at 11:00
am at Lakeside School. After practice
graduates will be given their cap, gown, and
tassel; as well as treated to lunch.
Only Wolf
Creek students which have completed at
least 25.00 credits by noon on June 2,
2011 are allowed to participate in the
graduation ceremony. Commencement is a
voluntary event in which students may choose
to participate. Each student in the ceremony
will be required to wear a graduation cap
and gown. They are considered one-time-use;
therefore they may be kept by the graduate
after the ceremony. (Note: there is no
charge for these).
Graduates will earn a TRIO Wolf Creek
Charter School accredited diploma.
Diplomas will be granted when the student
has met all graduation requirements and/or
obligations. The requirements to receive a
diploma are:
1. Pass the Minnesota
Comprehensive Assessments or Minnesota Basic
Standards Tests in
reading, mathematics, and
written composition as per state
requirements or higher guidelines.
2. Complete 26.00 course
credit requirements and standards in
specific areas, as established by
the school board.
3. Return all materials
and pay all fines, charges, etc.
Enclosed is a
Graduation Plan, please review it to
ensure you are on track for graduation. For
students to be listed in the commencement
documents, they must have earned at least
21.0 credits by the end of term 3. For
students to participate in commencement
ceremony, students must complete at least
25.0 credits by the deadline. Also enclosed
is a
Graduation Form, please return it
and the fee, if applicable, by April 8th.
Graduates that choose not
to participate in commencement can pick up
their diploma during the week following
commencement. Students short on credits may
register for summer school 2011. If you
have any questions, please contact either of
us at your convenience. We look forward to
