RE: SENIOR INFORMATION –
Spring 2010
Dear Wolf
Creek Seniors, Parents and/or Guardians:
“Graduation
2010” is fast approaching.
Congratulations! We would like to
take this opportunity to thank you for your
support and assistance. Please be aware of
several items regarding the end of the year
procedures for graduates; please note the
time-line on the back of this sheet. If you
have any questions regarding any of these
items, credit status, or if
you are interested in playing the
pre-ceremony music, being a senior speaker,
or helping with graduation in any way,
please contact

1-
The
graduation
ceremony will be held on Friday, June
11th, 2010, at 6:30 pm. The Graduation
ceremony will take place at Lakeside
School Gymnasium, 10345 Wyoming Avenue,
Chisago City (This school is located just
south of Hwy 8 on the west end of Chisago
City.)

Commencement is a voluntary event in which
students may choose to participate.
Graduates must attend graduation practice,
on June 11th at 11 am at Lakeside
School, in order to participate in the
commencement program. Seniors must have
earned a minimum of 25.00 of the 26.00
credits by June 3, at noon, to participate
in the commencement program. Seniors having
less than 26 credits should be enrolled in
summer session contact Stacy Bender at
651-213-2053.

We will be composing a Senior Slideshow
this year. We ask that all seniors
provide us with a picture of themselves as a
baby/young child and a current/senior
picture to include in the slideshow.
These pictures and the
attached
Senior 2010 Survey
are due by May 27th; they can be
brought in to lab, mailed to us, or
emailed. All photos will be returned- be
sure you name is on he back. Each graduate
will receive a copy of the CD at the
commencement ceremony.

Each student
in the ceremony will wear a graduation cap
and gown. The caps and gowns are considered
“one-time-use”. They will be handed out
after at graduation practice during the
senior lunch held on the Wolf Creek Campus.
Graduates can keep their cap, gown and
tassel (and honor cord). Please be sure to
take it out of the wrapper and hang it up to
get the wrinkles out. Hanging it in a humid
bathroom will help with wrinkles. If you
choose to iron it, turn it inside out first.
Wolf Creek school colors are royal blue,
white, and silver.

Bachman
Photography will be at graduation from
5:30-6:30 for individual graduate pictures.
Please see enclosed package information.
All graduate group picture will be taken at
6:00 p.m.!!!

Diplomas will
be granted when the student meets all
graduation requirements and obligations.
Final transcripts will be mailed home. If a
student chooses not to participate in
commencement, he/she may pick up their
diploma at Wolf Creek on June 14th
or June 28th. School Board Policy
#613 states that in order to receive a
diploma, all students must:
a. Pass
the Minnesota Basic Standards Tests in
reading, mathematics, and written
composition, as per state
requirements or higher guidelines.
b. Complete 26.00 course
credit requirements and graduation
standards, as established by
the school board.
c. Return all materials and pay
all fines, charges, etc. (including $20
graduation fee).
Please
complete your work and behave responsibly.

Commencement: Practice & Participation
Policy
All student
handbook rules of behavior and dress apply
including the following areas of emphasis:
-
Any senior
determined to be under the influence of
alcohol/chemicals will be denied
participation in commencement practice and
also denied participation in the
commencement program.
-
Appropriate
school dress will be required. Students
appearing unkempt (dirty, torn clothes,
inappropriately lettered or pictured
apparel, etc.) will not be admitted to
practice.
-
Seniors
missing practice will be denied
participation in the commencement
program. Exceptions: PSEO students still
involved in college classes, students
participating in school related activities
at the section or state level that would
conflict with the practice and serious
illness or injury situations. All
absences relating to PSEO must be approved
2 days prior to practice. A doctor’s note
will be required for any illness or injury
absences in order to be excused.

The Wolf Creek 2010 graduation commencement
ceremony will be held on Friday, June 11th,
2010 at 6:30 pm. The ceremony will be held
at Lakeside School gymnasium (located at
10345 Wyoming Ave., Chisago City, MN). Each
graduate who is participating in the
ceremony is required to attend graduation
practice on June 11th at 11:00 am
at Lakeside School. After practice graduates
will be given their cap, gown, and tassel;
as well as treated to lunch. Graduates are
to arrive early for the ceremony, please
arrive by 5:45 pm dressed in your cap and
gown. The class picture will be taken at
6:00. Individual pictures with Bachman
Photography will begin at 5:30.
Only
Wolf Creek students who have completed at
least 25.00 credits by noon on June 3, 2010
are allowed to participate in the graduation
ceremony.
