OTIS (Online Technology and Internet Skills)

OTIS is a .25 (1/4) credit course which is required each quarter for all full-time students.  Passing this class all four quarters will earn the student 1.0 elective credit.

OTIS will have some assignments that can be turned in ahead of the due dates, while others must be turned in each week.  It is recommended that parents work with their students through this course and realize the commitment that being an online learner takes on the entire family.  Any questions throughout this course should be directed to a Learning Manager.

Students will access all OTIS assignments via Moodle at http://moodle.triowolfcreek.com/.  The outline is attached on this OTIS home page and the TRIO Wolf Creek website (under OTIS).

Before you begin working on this course, you must complete the Orientation course in Moodle that you are enrolled in.

Moodle Tips

1.  Click on this attachment for Moodle directions, tips, and quick links.

2.  A course outline is presented at the beginning of the course. READ YOUR COURSE OUTLINE PRIOR TO BEGINNING THE COURSE.  Important details for assignment completion and submission are explained in each course outline.

3.  Each assignment will contain directions on how to turn your work in to your instructor.  Pay close attention to what you should do to turn in your work.  If you do not, the assignment won’t get to your Learning Manager.
