 Returning Students

            Version 16 of NovaNET installed

                        US History or English 2 listed on class list

                                    Follow directions below to download Version 17 from the internet

                        US History or English 2 not on class list

                                    Continue using Version 16

New Students or Returning Students who do not have NovaNET installed on their computer

            US History or English 2 not on class list

                        Request a NovaNET Version 16 CD or DVD from your LM

            US History or English 2 listed on class list

                        Follow directions below to download Version 17 from the Internet

NovaNET Version 17 Download Instructions

Requires high speed internet.  Time Required – This process will take anywhere from 1.5 to 4 hours depending on machine specs, internet connection speed, and other software processes running.

Space Required: Version 17.0 requires a minimum of 3.5 GB and includes all the Portal software and multimedia lessons released to date, including the new U.S. History course.

Windows Users

·         Technically Savvy Users with a writable DVD drive

1.     Click on the link below to download the ISO file.  Create a DVD from the ISO file and install from the DVD.  Follow the directions below after the installation starts.

·         Non-Technical Users or Users without a writable DVD drive

1.     Click on the following link to start download:  http://165.193.122.178/nn/win/setup.exe

2.     Follow the directions below after the installation starts

Mac Users

1. Click on the following link to download the Mac ISO format

2. Click on the NovaNET icon to install

After installation starts, enter the following when prompted:

·         How will you connect to the NovaNET system?  Network Connection

·         Host address: customer4.nn.com

·         Port number: Other: 723

·         Please select a setup type: typical

·         Portal Settings:  (click the first 3 boxes, leave the last one blank)

·         X   Allow users to configure Portal

·         X   Display the Portal menu bar

·         X   Enable signon in title

·         Allow multiple logins

·         Do you want to enable the print option from within multimedia lessons? Yes

·         Click OK when prompted about Quicktime.  (Download Quicktime after installation finishes if not currently installed on computer at http://www.apple.com/quicktime) 

·         Click on Install to begin the installation.
