Board members present: Dr. Sherryl Johnson, Tracy Quarnstrom, Brenda Swanson

Chair Tracy Quarnstrom called the meeting to order at 2:10 p.m. in the Chisago Lakes Schools District Office. Swanson made motion to approve the agenda, Johnson seconded, motion carried.

Roll call was taken. Johnson made motion to approve minutes of August meeting with corrections, Swanson seconded, motion carried.

Expenditures were paid in the amount of $11,320.56. There is a balance of $90,733.39 in the checking account.

Three parents indicated interest in being on the Board. Quarnstrom made a motion to accept Randy Sprecher’s application to be a member of the Board effective October 1. 2002. Swanson seconded the motion, motion carried.

Discussion was held regarding substitute teachers. Swanson made the motion to pay substitute teachers $25 per hour or $150 per day. Quarnstrom seconded the motion, motion carried.

Discussion was held regarding purchase of a new computer server and whether to purchase it now or wait. Swanson made a motion the server be purchased from New Horizon immediately, Johnson seconded. Motion passed with two ayes, 1 abstain.

The next meeting will be Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in the Board Room of ISD 2144.

Johnson made a motion that meeting be adjourned, Swanson seconded the motion, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 2:47 p.m.
