Summer Vacation? Not for Wolf Creek Online Students!
Students at Wolf Creek Online High School can get ahead on their high school credits by participating in a unique opportunity to attend school in summer as well as in the traditional school year. This is due to Wolf Creek Online High School being designated by the MN Department of Education as a continuous learning year program which allows students to accelerate their high school experience. The online format allows students to complete schoolwork on their own schedule with the support of caring teachers who assist students in academics and in making the set deadlines of each term.
Wolf Creek offers courses online in every month of the calendar year. Students who choose this option are fully enrolled at Wolf Creek who accepts students throughout the school year. There is currently no waiting list; students can enroll now or begin in summer term. Students who have completed 8th grade are eligible to start in the summer term which begins June 23. Wolf Creek serves students in grades 9-12 or up to age 21.
While its state of the art facility is located in Chisago City, the charter school accepts students from the entire state of Minnesota. Students can come to the campus in order to meet with teachers, use the computers on site, and attend synchronous classes. If students live too far away for this to occur, teachers use technology to simulate the lab experience through online classroom options.
During the traditional school schedule, students from other schools can enroll in online classes part-time using the supplemental services law which allows students to take up to half of their courses online with a certified online learning provider.
Wolf Creek also allows students to take additional online courses and pay tuition for their courses. Interested students should contact the director, Tracy Quarnstrom, about this option by calling 651-213-2017.
Wolf Creek Online High School is accredited by both NCA and CITA. Students take all MN state-required tests and meet MN standards’ requirements.
