2009-2010 Reminders

The information below is a list of reminders to help you remember what’s new to Wolf Creek this year. If you have any questions, please ask your Learning Manager right away!

Grading and Classes

· Rollovers are not permitted – all work must be completed on the last day of the term. If you do not finish a class, you will restart the class at 0% during the next term.

o Please note: An incomplete may be available for you if you request one and complete the form with me during the 8^th week of the term and you are at 50% in that class!

· Grades are available in Moodle at 12 PM on Fridays

o If you need something graded at a different time, please email me and the instructor

o You will not receive emails with your grades outlined in that email – be sure you know how to check Moodle!

o If you absolutely need something graded for Friday at 12 PM, make sure it’s turned in on Thursday by 5 PM

· Contract for grades is a new grading method where you choose what grade you are going to earn in each class

o Watch for these and make sure that you do ALL required assignments for the course or you will not pass the course!

· OTIS is graded A-F (this is a change from Pass/Fail grading in previous school years)

On Campus Information

· Lab hours are 7:30 AM to 2 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays (this is a change!)

· 5 hours per week in lab are recommended; this may be different for you depending on your current progress or academic standing

· If you want to go out to lunch, you must have an Open Lunch Form signed by your parents!

School Supplies

· You will need a headset that has a microphone for Elluminate

o You can buy are pair on campus for $9 – see the front desk

· See me for instructions on how to download NovaNET if it’s not on your computer or to reinstall it if you are taking US History this year

· See me for a Thinking Maps CD if you need to install that program at home

· Check your student handbook for a complete list of school supplies!
